    When must I cancel my trip?
    Trip cancellation is effective until the scheduled departure date and time of your trip. If you are unable to continue your trip for a covered reason, but travel has begun, you may qualify for trip interruption.

    How much can I get reimbursed for airline-imposed fees for rebanking my frequent flyer miles?
    You can receive up to $150 for the cost of airline-imposed fees for rebanking frequent flyer miles. Your trip must be cancelled for a covered reason as outlined in your plan.

    Unused, non-refundable land or water travel arrangements plus the additional transportation cost paid.

    What is trip interruption?
    For covered reasons outlined in your plan, you may need to interrupt your trip. Additional transportation costs can be reimbursed if such expenses are incurred for you to join your trip if you must depart after your scheduled departure date or travel via alternate travel arrangements by the most direct route possible to reach your trip destination. Additional transportation cost can also reimburse expenses incurred to rejoin your trip or transport you to your originally scheduled return destination, if you must interrupt your trip after departure, each by the most direct route possible.

    How long must travel be delayed?
    You must be delayed for 6 hours or more while en route to or from, or during Your Trip for a covered reason.

    How do I qualify for Kennel Fee reimbursement if I cannot pick my pet up on time?
    Travel is delayed for a covered reason, and you are not able to pick your cat or dog up on the day previously agreed upon with the kennel. Cat or dog must have been boarded for the duration of your trip. Available for the Classic plan only.

    When must I buy my plan to be eligible for Cancel For Any Reason?
    Within 21 days of the date your initial trip deposit or payment is received for your trip; and no less than two days before your trip departure date.

    When must I cancel my trip?
    Two or more days before your scheduled departure date.

    Do I still have the Trip Cancellation benefit in my plan if I buy Cancel for Any Reason?
    Yes! We will always check to see if you are cancelling your trip for a covered reason under the Trip Cancellation benefit first! That way you are eligible to receive more than 75% of your nonrefundable, prepaid trip costs back.

    More About the Waiver of the Pre-Existing Medical Condition Exclusion

    When must I buy my plan to be eligible for the Waiver of the Pre-Existing Conditions?
    The exclusion for Pre-Existing Conditions will be waived if your payment or deposit for your plan is received within 21 days of the date your initial payment or deposit for your trip is received. You must not be disabled from travel at the time of purchase.

    What is the Pre-Existing Conditions Exclusion Look Back Period?
    From the effective date of your coverage, we look back 60 days for any pre-existing medical conditions.

    What is considered a pre-existing medical condition?
    “Pre-Existing Condition” means an illness, disease, or other condition during the 60 day period immediately prior to the date the insured’s coverage is effective for which the insured or the insured’s Traveling Companion, Business Partner or Family Member scheduled or booked to travel with the insured:
    (1) received or received a recommendation for a test, examination, or medical treatment for a condition which first manifested itself, worsened or became acute or had symptoms which would have prompted a reasonable person to seek diagnosis, care or treatment; or (2) took or received a prescription for drugs or medicine.
    Item #2 of this definition does not apply to a condition which is treated or controlled solely through the taking of prescription drugs or medicine and remains treated or controlled without any adjustment or change in the required prescription throughout the 60 day period before coverage is effective under the Plan.

    What if I was intoxicated at the time of my Accident or Illness?
    Benefits are not payable for any loss due to, arising or resulting from being intoxicated or under the influence of any controlled substance unless as administered or prescribed by a Legally Qualified Physician.

    If I am injured on my trip, will my TravelSafe plan cover follow-up care after my scheduled return date?
    Expenses incurred after your trip are not covered, even if the injury or illness occurred during your trip.

    What do I do if the hospital requests advance payment?
    Advance payment will be made to a Hospital, up to the Maximum Benefit Amount, if needed to secure your admission to a hospital, because of a covered accidental injury or covered sickness. The authorized travel assistance company will coordinate advance payment to the hospital.

    Together, the local attending Legally Qualified Physician and authorized travel assistance company will determine if an Emergency Medical Evacuation is necessary.

    Where will I be transported to if I am in need of an Emergency Medical Evacuation?
    The closest hospital or medical facility capable of providing treatment.

    Medical Repatriation Can Reimburse
    The cost of one-way economy transportation
    Commercial air upgrade due to your condition
    Other covered land or air transportation like a commercial stretcher, medical escort, or air ambulance

    You sustain an illness or injury which is acute or life threatening and it is deemed medically necessary to bring you home for ongoing treatment

    Can I choose the hospital where I will be transported?
    You may choose to be transported to a Hospital in any city in the United States of America. However, the maximum amount payable is limited to the cost of transportation to your primary place of residence.

    What if a physician is sent to me while hospitalized?
    If the local attending Legally Qualified Physician and the authorized travel assistance company cannot adequately assess your need for medical evacuation or transportation, your plan may cover expenses incurred for a physician to be dispatched to you to make the assessment. Benefits will be paid for the travel expenses incurred and medical services provided by this physician.

    Seven Corners provides 24 Hour Worldwide Assistance, a non-insurance service included in this plan. They will help arrange the return of remains if necessary.

    Who does my family or loved ones contact to file a claim for Return of Remains?
    All claims should be presented to the Claim Administrator for TravelSafe Insurance. For more information visit our File a Claim

    How will my family or loved ones know that I have coverage for Return of Remains?
    Prior to departure, you should notify a family member or loved one of your coverage. You can do this by providing them with a copy of your Receipt of Purchase and Plan Confirmation.

    Within 14 days of any covered event.

    Under what circumstances would a non-medical emergency evacuation be eligible for coverage?
    A formal recommendation in the form of a travel advisory or travel warning from the U.S. State Department has been issued, and the reason that causes the travel advisory or warning to be issued is covered by the plan.

    Is there a per article limit?
    Yes. The maximum benefit amount per article is $300.

    Do I need to file an official report for lost, damaged, or stolen baggage?
    Yes. Promptly notify one of the following, in writing: police, hotel proprietors, ship lines, airlines, railroad, bus, airport or other station authorities, tour operators or group leaders, or any common carrier or bailee who has custody of your property at the time of loss.

    If my property is lost, damaged or stolen, what should I do?
    First take all reasonable steps to protect, save or recover the property. Save documentation or records that may be needed to file a claim and send proof of loss as soon as possible.
