Emergency Medical Evacuation & Repatriation
If you suffer a sickness or injury that is seen as acute or life threatening during the course of your trip and adequate medical treatment is not available in the immediate area, Emergency Medical Evacuation can arrange to medically transport you to an appropriate medical facility. Medical Repatriation can arrange for you to return home for care, and Repatriation of Remains can rrange for the return of your remains should you die abroad.

Covered reasons are outlined by your plan and decide what can be covered. Remember, exclusions outlined in your plan can affect covered reasons. For example, mountaineering is excluded from TravelSafe plans. If you require an emergency medical evacuation as a result of mountaineering, you may not receive coverage from this benefit.

Together, the local attending Legally Qualified Physician and authorized travel assistance company will determine if an Emergency Medical Evacuation is necessary.
Where will I be transported to if I am in need of an Emergency Medical Evacuation?
The closest hospital or medical facility capable of providing treatment.
Can I choose the hospital where I will be transported if I require Medical Repatriation?
You may choose to be transported to a Hospital in any city in the United States of America. However, the maximum amount payable is limited to the cost of transportation to your primary place of residence.
What if a physician is sent to me while hospitalized? Does that qualify as Medical Repatriation?
If the local attending Legally Qualified Physician and the authorized travel assistance company cannot adequately assess your need for medical evacuation or transportation, your plan may cover expenses incurred for a physician to be dispatched to you to make the assessment. Benefits will be paid for the travel expenses incurred and medical services provided by this physician.
Will someone help my family or loved one arrange my return of remains?
Seven Corners provides 24 Hour Worldwide Assistance, a non-insurance service included in this plan. They will help arrange the return of remains if necessary.

Who does my family or loved ones contact to file a claim for Return of Remains?
All claims should be presented to the Claim Administrator for TravelSafe Insurance.

Prior to departure, you should notify a family member or loved one of your coverage. You can do this by providing them with a copy of your Receipt of Purchase and Plan Confirmation.
