How the Extended Personal Property Benefit Works
This is an add-on benefit available for all TravelSafe plans. If you’d like coverage that extends beyond the Baggage and Personal Effects coverage, this is for you.
It is important to note that you will have a $100 deductible should you file a claim using this benefit.
What Is Covered
Sports Equipment Rental
You may rent sports equipment to go on your trip. If it is lost, stolen, or damaged by the common carrier, you are eligible for coverage to rent new gear. This coverage also applies if your sports equipment is delayed by the common carrier 12 hours or more.
Professional or Occupations Equipment or Property
Under the Baggage and Personal Effects coverage, professional or occupational equipment or property is excluded. With the Extended Personal Property Benefit, you can cover these items up to $1,000.
Telephones, PDA Devices, Computer Hardware or Software
Under the Baggage and Personal Effects coverage, telephones, PDA devices, and computer hardware/software are all excluded. With the Extended Personal Property Benefit, you can cover these items up to $1,000.
